Thank you for visiting our chess club’s website.
Our membership is composed of people from all walks of life with a belief in Jesus Christ as the Son of God and with a love for chess.
Behold, how good and how pleasant it is
for brethren to dwell together in unity!
Psalm 133:1
The purpose of this club is for its members to play chess for fun, play chess to obtain USCF ratings, win cash prizes and trophies, and to cultivate friendships with like-minded members.
Although CHESS is the main discussion and activity of our chess club, we also provide opportunities to members for spiritual growth. And we also pray for each other.
We play in person. This is known as OTB, meaning “on the board” which simply means to play face-to-face with a physical set. These get-togethers are conducted in local parks, restaurants, and other places as chosen by the majority of the members.
But we also play online, using a free platform with over 30 million members from all over the world. This platform has many features such as free lessons, forums, friendly matches, rated tournaments, and also practice by playing against computers of different levels.
We accept members from all over the world, and members from Miami, Florida, and its surrounding areas, for in-person meets.
Again, thank you for your visit – I hope you join us now.

How to play chess tutorial
We will be meeting sometimes at
Douglas Park
2755 SW 37th Ave, Miami, FL 33133
The following video will teach you how to understand and write down chess moves via official chess notations. Enjoy the video!
Now that you know how to play, try playing against our computer by using the following diagram. Click and drag a piece to move it. It is easier to win against a human, so don’t give up!
This diagram is better when on a PC or Laptop.
May be a little difficult to use on some cell phones.
